I've spent most of the morning giving myself eye strain by staring at a screen in bright sunlight, but the payoff is *fic*. This is good, this is progress. Sure it's more flashback for the epic, but this one is crucial to the overall story so - yay! Of course it doesn't have a title and it'll probably get a few minor edits before it finally gets posted, but in essence it's complete and not as bad as I feared it would be - although I may have to get a second opinion on that one. It also means my subconscious is working on the rest of it, hasn't offered anything really helpful on the next part of the Duncan/Methos arc, but has given me a few thoughts on a bit a few steps beyond that which is useful all the same.
In other news we're doing a new style of swordwork in Aikido, it starts with a K, but I can't remember what it's called - starts from mu-kamae anyway. Some of it I like (big sweeping shoulder to waist arcs, not always having to hold the katana two-handed) some of it - argh! Having finally got the hang of one style I'm having to fight the tendency to revert to it whenever we do this new style - grrr.
Anyway, that's it for now. I think I shall go watch more pretty music vids, maybe make myself another cup of tea and perhaps do a bit of reading...
