As a matter of interest, I didn't make up the bit about the jacket construction, they really do use that. Thanks to my brother, source of all my motorbike info, for that wonderfully useful snippet.

So, I have been informed that I can't go to Japan and not go to Hombu dojo (world Aikido headquarters), my get out was that my black belt book and certificate hadn't arrived (you need them to practice there) unfortunately I was also informed that I would be presented with them if I went to the course this coming weekend. Rats.

Additionally, since my aikido teacher is now on holiday for two weeks (in Siberia) I have foolishly allowed myself to be persuaded to do some of the teaching while he's away. I'm not a teacher *cries* also in tonight's class the majority of stuff I did was just made of Fail basically. *le sigh*
