Now *that's* better.
I have to confess to being somewhat disappointed by the first two eps of the season - too much running down corridors. But *this* - plot, a hint of dark, a smidgeon of history, a touch of humour... and Sarah Jane *yay* and K9 Mark IV *squee*.
Interesting change, I wondered how they were going to back off a bit and now I know. I was surprised when it first started up again with 9 that I actually liked Rose, I didn't expect to, but the last couple of eps she was really beginning to annoy me. I'm glad she got a slap upside the head and now Mickey's along for the ride - veeerrrry interesting shift in the dynamic. We'll see how that goes :-)
In other probably less exciting news I passed my 3rd Kyu in Aikido, probably by the skin of my teeth, but a pass is a pass. Due to Easter, plus assorted other things I went into it with *no* revision practise, so I was trying to remember techniques I had last done *months* ago - literally - not fun. Plus my Uke wasn't the one I expected, who actually wasn't there because she was taking her daughter to the airport, but was a higher grade who attacks *fast*. Ah well.
Oh and I've been scribbling again and may have something to post shortly - an FB fic from the epic. There are several in the works since the present-day timeline is sort of stalled - I have delegated to my subconscious, which I trust is percolating nicely and only awaiting the proper inspiration for all these scenes to gel together into the fic I want. Something pretty maybe... a nice Methos music vid to something suitably gothic perhaps... I so need to bribe someone who can draw for these fics...
