... a whole 2 minutes after hitting update.
My boss, not the absent one, the sorceror one... hmm one day I will have to try that on him, as a career academic and a prof before the age of 40 he *must* know it. Not sure how to work it into a conversation though - there are some that call me... Tim? Maybe I should just ask if his kids have any pets, like oh for example, a cute fluffy, white bunny ;-)
Anyway, I digress, he gave me a morale boosting little talk this morning about my 'invaluable' contribution to an issue last week - go me - and how very well I've done in my boss's absence to keep things running smoothly etc - this always leaves panicky feeling of other shoe about to drop. Rambling again, sorry. He said I have to book a holiday for myself, everyone needs a break and everyone's had one but me so far so...
Where do I go people? What do I do? I suspect it will have to be at least a week or it won't count. Could go with parents to relatives in Devon, but while it would be nice to see them it's not that much of a holiday exactly. If I go somewhere abroad where do I go? Should I go by myself? Well I think I'd probably have to since there don't appear to be any likely candidates to go with me. Could roam the UK at large and stalk friends and family alike, but that may require more co-ordination than I'm capable of in my current state.
Any ideas?
