I love sales
Jan. 2nd, 2006 04:16 pmWell, not usually, but today I do. Newcastle was quiet when we got there so browsing wasn't mayhem. We went past Monsoon; there was a purple velvet skirt in there I'd been coveting for probably about two months, but could not justify the ridiculous price. Saw it at 70% off *and* they still had my size. I am now the owner of said coveted skirt and *bonus* it matches the colour of my Docs - heh ;-)
On the downside Virgin are useless now; I admit I hadn't been in for ages, but they used to be almost comparable to HMV, now unless it's popular they don't stock it? That's so crap and I have a £15 voucher to spend there and couldn't find anything to buy with it - grrr.
Back to work tomorrow, feel like calling in and telling them their job is boring and crap and they can keep it, but don't think this would go down very well. Things to do for 2006 - get a better job. Also, sort out some holidays and have more fun. Not sure how to go about the latter, but - shrug - I can try.
