And now I have in fact voted.

I love our extremely low-tech voting. They look you up in the electoral roll, which is an actual book, not on a computer, and then they cross your name out.

I'm guessing at some point it is feed into a computer, because how would you know if someone had voted twice otherwise?

It's that time again - time to elect a government for the next four years. Officially voting day is 23 September, but early voting opened today.

Lucky for me a polling booth has been set up quite literally 50 steps from my desk (I counted). I don't even have to go outside. And I can see them quite easily so I will wait until a time when no-one is there and whip over and do the deed (so to speak).

Then that is it for another four years.
